I'm Debbie.  Welcome to s.i.m.p.l.e 7 nutrition!

I am a traditionally trained Nutrition & Lifestyle Health Coach with a Functional Medicine twist.  I work in a field that I love.

I received my training at the fully-accredited, Huntington College of Health Sciences, where I received a Diploma in Comprehensive Nutrition.  Although the coursework included the typical approach to nutrition & health, namely the Dietary component, three additional components necessary for Optimal Health were also included:  The Environmental, Lifestyle & Genetic components!  Like a wagon with only 1 wheel, balance can only be achieved by taking into account all 4 factors: Dietary, Environmental, Lifestyle & Genetic.  ("Modifiable dietary and lifestyle risk factors could prevent most cases of CAD, stroke, diabetes, and many cancers...https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK11795/)

I, too, suffered with digestion problems.  The traditional approach didn't make sense.  How could taking a pill get to the cause of the problem.  After all, I didn't have a 'purple pill' deficiency.  The principles of Functional Medicine worked for me.  With the training I received I came to appreciate that a qualified Health Coach will include much more than just the Dietary component, as is the focus of the typical Nutritionist or Dietician.  Genetic, Lifestyle & Environmental factors also need to be considered when the goal is getting to the cause and achieving Optimal Health.  This is why the s.i.m.p.l.e 7 nutrition approach includes the following 4 components:

The s.i.m.p.l.e 7 nutrition approach includes:

Dietary:  How much & which foods we should be eating.  Why view food as medicine and as messengers to our cells.  Why choose a variety of 'clean' & colorful foods!  As well as the Benefits of Testing: Stool, Micronutrient & Food Sensitivity.

Lifestyle: How does our lifestyle directly affect overall health. Infections, sleep, stress, rest, family, friends & exercise!  And how to incorporate long-lasting changes.   Functional blood, saliva & urine tests available to help discover & confirm underlying cause/s.

Environmental:  The health connection of: Indoor air, personal care products, drinking, cleaning & bathing water, cleaning products, electronics, furniture & bedding, etc!  Where to find affordable replacement products.   Functional blood & urine tests available to help discover & confirm underlying cause/s.

Genetics: Which mutations affect your health & why nutritional support is needed.  Functional blood, saliva & urine tests available to help discover & confirm underlying cause/s. The solutions are s.i.m.p.l.e, they're available & they really work!

I thought your presentation was great! It was completely different than what I expected

the content to be. I thought it was going to be about how to eat right, losing weight etc. I

like the approach you take by showing the clients how environmental hazards can affect

their health and increase specific diseases.
